Greetings everyone.
Just a quickie to say a huge thank you to everyone who gave up their time to help out with the Junior sign on weekend. Therese and Karen still have a mountain of work to go, and we wish them well and thank them dearly for that.
It appears that we have surpassed last years figures with the number of sign ons, which goes to show that word has gotten out that we are a great Club that cares for the kids with a passion.
Whether you gave up an hour or so, or if you were there all weekend, well done. There was a really good feel about the place and so many positive comments were passed on. I was very proud to be a part of such a great team so let's keep it going. It was also great timing with the Seniors having a match on afterwards so we could kick back and enjoy the game we love so much!
A special thank you to our newest sponsor, The Super Butcher, who kindly donated 250 sausages. Well done Gerry Glaser for organising that.
I'm sure you'll agree that the Vito soccer boots looked great and they are very well priced. We will continue to sell the boots and the store will probably be open on Tuesdays and Thursdays during training times. Gerry will ( no doubt) let me know if that's not the case. Also on the topic of merchandise, I hope you like the new look Polos that are on sale. At $30 for adults, they are sure to be a hit. The kids training tops look great also and they will be available for collection soon.
Robert Steel will be letting everyone know via the eNews when the Grading starts for competition ages (U11-U16's) so keep your eyes open for that.
Any web related matters can be sent to admin@southportfc.com.au
Cheers and see you on the training pitch.
